NORMAN, OK -- The new Stealth™ Hot Heat Pump series from YORK International Corporation’s Unitary Products Group (UPG) couples the industry’s first Twin-Single™ (TS) compressor with the microprocessor-based YORK Comfort Enhancer™ control to deliver high-efficiency cooling and unprecedented furnace-like heating comfort.
With a discharge heat temperature approaching 110 degrees F, the Stealth Hot Heat Pump has the ability to deliver warmth and a level of comfort never before associated with heat pump systems. As a result, output temperatures are higher and homeowner comfort is increased without engaging costly auxiliary electric heat strips.
The Stealth Hot Heat Pump uses TS technology to deliver two stages of heating and cooling comfort while saving energy. Two pistons operate together under high load situations for maximum cooling or heating power. When less cooling or heating is required, the compressor moves effortlessly to single piston operation, reducing operating costs without sacrificing comfort.
Twin-single technology utilizes longer, more efficient operating cycles resulting in noticeable comfort benefits that include more constant temperatures, improved humidity control and air filtration, and less air stratification. As a result, the Stealth Hot Heat Pump can achieve an efficiency rating that exceeds 15.7 SEER on the cooling side and an HSPF rating of 9.3 as a heat pump, making it among the most energy-efficient heat pump systems available.
The two-step modulation of Twin-Single technology when combined with YORK’s exclusive Comfort Enhancer Control also significantly lowers sound levels by keeping noisy on-off cycles to a minimum. A wide range of other sound-dampening devices, including specially designed mufflers, sound blankets and cushioned compressor mounts, keeps noise levels of the Stealth Hot Heat Pump among the lowest in the industry.
Available in capacities ranging from two to five tons, the Stealth Hot Heat Pump is protected by an appliance-quality finish in a contemporary champagne color. High-strength coil guards protect hardened black-coated aluminum rippled coil fins against impact. In addition, specially designed all-copper fittings prevent premature corrosion, and copper tube coils enhance reliability and performance.
The new Stealth Hot Heat Pump features a ten-year limited warranty on the Twin-Single compressor and a five-year limited warranty on all other parts.
