NORMAN, OK -- The new Simplicity™ Controls System from YORK International Corporation’s Unitary Products Group (UPG) is engineered for ease of set up, programming and monitoring. One-button network addressing enables HVACR technicians to easily and efficiently set up, program, and monitor the performance of YORK light commercial HVACR units equipped with Simplicity Controls.
The Simplicity control board’s built-in logic control operates the unit. It identifies problems using its “Triple Slide” logic technology, preventing and reducing the frequency and expense of nuisance service calls. When Simplicity identifies a true fault, the system broadcasts the alarm code, equipment, and location. Simplicity offers two-stage independent control on all two-stage equipment and features:
- Five-minute anti-short cycle delay;
- Alarm recall, even after power failure;
- Three-minute minimum compressor run time;
- Circuitry to control two independent air handling units;
- High and low, pressure controls for each circuit.
- Factory-wired smoke detector;
- Gas monitor for heat operation;
- Low voltage protection for contractor;
- “Quick Connect” options for easy fitting of field-installed accessories;
- Leading BAS compatibility.

Free local networking carries all alarm and diagnostic data seamlessly and directly to an on-site PC. The Simplicity Controls System is also available with YORK Wireless™ Remote Monitoring, providing 24/7 real-time worldwide monitoring of Simplicity-controlled YORK light commercial units.
YORK Simplicity Controls System makes YORK Wireless a simple plug and play technology that harnesses Internet server and wireless technologies to communicate instantly without costly building automation systems, dedicated phone lines, central monitoring systems or special training. Building owners, facility managers or service providers are given early system warnings via pager, cellular phone, fax, or E-mail.
The combination of YORK Simplicity Controls and YORK Wireless puts HVACR contractors in the remote monitoring service contracts business with the ability to increase customer service and retention while improving the efficiency of contractor operations.
