NORMAN, OK -- YORK International Corporation’s Unitary Products Group (UPG) introduces the YORK Millennium™ Split System Air Conditioners for commercial and light commercial applications. Available in 15 to 50 Ton capacities, each unit is specially designed to meet ASHRAE 90.1-1999 energy standards in rooftop or ground-level installations.
Millennium Split System Air Conditioners are equipped with two scroll compressors, each with independent refrigeration circuits, for long-lasting efficiency (up to 10 EER) and reliability.
Simplicity™ controls are standard equipment on the Millennium Split Systems and offer HVAC contractors many features to ensure ease of setup, programming, and monitoring. These features include: 24-volt temperature control circuits; two-stage independent control on all HB 360, 480 and 600 models; five-minute anti-short cycle delay; three-minute minimum compressor run time; circuitry to control two independent air handling units; and high and low pressure controls for each circuit. Quick Connect features on the control boards provide easy installation of field installed accessories.
For quieter operation, the vertical discharge condenser fans direct sound upward and away from surrounding structures. Condenser fan guards are vinyl-coated for rust protection. Condenser coils are constructed of copper tubes and aluminum fins, and all sheet and metal parts are constructed of commercial grade galvanized steel that is thoroughly cleaned to remove all grease or dirt before painting.
All external parts are coated with desert sand powder paint. This UL-approved coating system has passed a 750-hour, salt spray test.
To ensure trouble-free start-ups, every compressor, condenser fan motor, crankcase heater, and electrical control circuit is checked before it leaves the factory. Each unit is fully charged and pressurized with a holding charge of HCFC-22 refrigerant.
The versatile design of the matching Millennium Split System air handlers permits horizontal or vertical installation without modifying the coils, piping or drain pan. Copper stub-outs are factory mounted on the suction and liquid line to simplify the filed piping connections, and all units have base rails with forklift slots and rigging holes.
Each Millennium Split System Air Conditioner is backed by a one-year limited warranty on the compressor and a one-year limited warranty on all other parts.
